Booking & Payments

• A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

• Final numbers, guest names, food choices, dietary requirements, and full payment are due 2 weeks before the party date.

• Once the final balance has been paid, no refunds can be given. In unforeseen circumstances, parties may be rescheduled, but refunds are only offered if the centre is declared closed.

• Bookings made via phone or email are provisional until the deposit has been received.

• All bookings are confirmed by email once payment (and booking details) are received.

• Prices are subject to change at any time, except for confirmed bookings.

• If Kids Rule Play Café must cancel a booking (for reasons within our control), a full refund will be issued.

Party Details

• The Exclusive Hire package includes private use of the café for up to 2.5 hours and for a maximum of 30 children.

• The hirer may arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before and must leave no later than 15 minutes after the party time.

• Please note: Parties running over their allocated time will incur an additional charge of £75 per 30 minutes.

• Birthday cakes must be supplied by the hirer. Cakes cannot be eaten on the premises but can be wrapped and given to guests as they leave.

• Cake cutting must take place in the kitchen — no knives are to be taken into the main area.

• You are welcome to bring balloons and decorations, but confetti, party poppers, silly string, and firework candles are not permitted. Only Blu-tack may be used on walls (no tape).

• If non-allergenic food is requested, we will take every care, but please note that our kitchen handles common allergens and cross-contamination cannot be fully avoided.

Health & Safety

• The soft play area is designed for children aged 0–9 years.

• Parents and carers (aged 18+) must supervise children at all times, with at least 1 adult per 5 children. Kids Rule Play Café staff are not responsible for child supervision during private hire.

• Adults entering the play area must be sensible, remove their shoes, and avoid boisterous behaviour while accompanying children.

• No food, drinks, or chewing gum are allowed in the soft play area.

• Shoes, glasses, jewellery, and badges must be removed before using the equipment. Socks should be worn at all times.

• Children must not push, collide, or behave in a way likely to injure or upset others. Bullying or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

• The hirer is responsible for ensuring the soft play is not overcrowded.

• Any damage to equipment must be reported immediately and may result in an additional charge.

• The hirer must ensure the venue is left clean and tidy. If excessive cleaning is required, the hirer will be invoiced for the cost based on a professional cleaning quote (typically £50+ depending on the level of cleaning required).

• No alcohol or glassware is permitted.

• Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

• Personal belongings remain the responsibility of guests.

• Kids Rule Play Café maintains a safe environment but cannot accept liability for accidents, injuries, or damages arising from misuse or lack of supervision.

• Kids Rule Play Café is covered by Public Liability Insurance, available to view on request.

Kitchen Use (Room-Only Hire)

If you are hiring the room only:

• The kitchen may be used for food preparation and reheating only (sink and microwave use permitted).

• The hirer must provide their own cups, plates, jugs, and napkins.

• No sharp knives or glassware are to be brought into the main area.

• Children are not permitted in the kitchen.

• The kitchen must be left clean and tidy, with the microwave wiped down after use.

• Kids Rule Play Café is not liable for accidents or injuries occurring in the kitchen.

Room-Only Hire Clean-Up

• All furniture must be returned to its original position.

• Toilets and hired spaces must be left in the same condition as on arrival.

• All rubbish must be taken away by the hirer.

All persons using the soft play equipment do so at their own risk.
The hirer is responsible for ensuring all safety rules are followed and will be liable for any injury or damage caused by misuse or negligence.
Kids Rule Play Café cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss, or damage during the hire period.
